The Danube Swabian Association of Trenton, New Jersey (Vereinigung der Donauschwaben e. V.), is a volunteer-run, community-based social organization dedicated to the promotion and perpetuation of Danube Swabian/German culture, language, genealogy and history.

ATTENTION AUTOMOBILE ENTHUSIASTS!
The Trenton Donauschwaben and the German American Society
want to invite you to attend our 5th Annual Euro-American Auto Show on July
11th, 2009.
It will be another successful and fun filled day of great food, drink, prizes, music - and cars!
50 top car trophies were awarded, in addition to "Best Euro", Best
American" and People's Choice". See you at the 2009 show!

2008 Tag der Donauschwaben was in Cleveland, Ohio!
The Trenton Donauschwaben and sister organizations, the Philadelphia
Donauschwaben and the United German Hungarians, attended the
Landestreffen this past Labor Day weekend 2008 in Cleveland, Ohio. The
annual event attracted thousands of visitors from around the USA and Canada for a
cultural extravaganza like no other! There were several
international Donauschwaben representaives present this year also. Like
last year, the Donauschwaben
Villages Helping Hands (www.dvhh.org), a genealogical group, had a booth at the event.

We enjoy a variety of activities, including:
- a German language school (adult & youth) and a high school student
scholarship
- cultural and social events for children, young people and the young at
heart,
- genealogical & historical research assistance, distribution of
Donauschwaben related books & publications, we are also a proud
member of the Donauschwaben Villages Helping Hands (www.dvhh.org)

- a committee which oversees services at a local memorial to the Danube
Swabian genocide (1944-48),
- monthly Danube Swabian-style dinners to benefit the Association,
- a clubhouse located on almost an acre of land which serves as a social
and cultural meeting place, here's a picture
of it.
- interaction and cooperation with other Danube Swabian and
German-American associations,
- support of individuals, publications and groups committed to the same
or similar objectives,
- an Autoklub group (car shows/events),
- a German dance group (adult & youth),
- support of charities of particular importance to our local Danube
Swabian community and our Nation,
- and, most recently, maintaining an informational website for all to
enjoy!
 We
