Deutsche Sprachschule
The history of our German Langauge School and our Teaching Staff

German School
The Trenton Donauschwaben operate a German language school. Originally started in 1959 through the efforts of our then-president Jakob Eppli, the language and cultural school was for our members' children. We later started Adult classes. It is an effort consistent with one of the goals of the club, the promotion and perpetuation of the German language & culture. Our present teaching staff is made up of Andy Franz and Christa Tindall Pullion (Adult) & Eva Martini (Children) with the assistance of Kim Walter. The Adult School meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday nights at 7pm. Members are free, non-members are charged a small enrollment fee. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced German language student, you are welcome. The Children's School is held the other Wednesday nights at 7pm. Harold Parr is our German Language President.

Do you speak German? = Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

The school is open to adults each Wednesday night (7:00-8:30pm) starting again 1 April 2009. We presently offer only an intermediate class for the adults. Students utilize handouts, a textbook and a workbook. These are supplemented by handouts, videos, audio tapes and computer CDs. Everyone is welcome to participate. The tuition for these classes is quite reasonable (Club membership only), and the emphasis is on fun learning and our cultural history. Wilkommen!
